While bar-hopping we discovered three things: 1) that Parisians really know how to make a caipirinha, 2) that Paris is no Buenos Aires (meaning that bars actually close at 2:00), and 3) that not only bars but even the lights at the Eiffel Tower are dead at 2:00!!
Tonight we continued the partying that got cut off early the night before. Here are some pictures:
This one is on Pont de l'Alma while the sparkling lights were going off at the Eiffel Tower behind us.

And this is at a bar called "Le Paris" on Champs-Elysees.

In the meantime, Kumar is training for the Hiroshima 10K marathon that's coming up in a few weeks. He started doing hill training a couple days ago. He ran up and down the hill where the Hiroshima museum of modern art resides. He reports...
"Felt good and athletic on the first climb, pushed hard on the second. The third - you know that mind over body concept you only read about in philosophy books - well I experienced it first hand. Not a pleasant experience. It was so bad that even the downhill on round three was difficult. Slept like a log. Recovered pretty well - no soreness at all the next day. Much more interesting run though, both from scenery and physiological perspective. After just one run like that, running on flat surfaces seems like a sissy sport."
